Il giorno 6 Maggio 2014 alle ore 16,00 presso l’aula Oliveri, su invito del Prof. Gianluca Cicala, il Prof Dr PE Seeram Ramakrishna, professor of materials engineering and Director of Center for Nanofibers and Nanotechnology at the National University of Singapore, ha tenuto un seminario dal titolo

Functional Nanomaterials by Electrospinning & Electrospraying

The past two decades saw significant research investments in nanotechnology worldwide. Yet the nanotechnology field fared below the expectations. This is attributed partly to the lack of scalable manufacturing technologies for nanomaterials and products. In recent years, electrospinning and electrospraying techniques have emerged as potential contenders for producing functional nanofibers and nanoparticles respectively. This lecture illustrates advances made in diverse electrospun nanomaterials and their role in addressing societal challenges such as clean water, energy, & environment, improved healthcare, food nutrition & safety, and sustainable designs.
